How Much Does a Website Cost in Pakistan?

Quotes for the same brief range from PKR 25,000 to PKR 2,500,000 in this market. Here is what actually separates them, and how to tell which number is honest.

Ask five Pakistani agencies to quote the same website and you will get five numbers that do not look like they are for the same thing. That is not because four of them are lying. It is because “a website” describes anything from a five-page template with the client's logo dropped in, to a booking platform with payments and a CRM behind it.

This guide gives real ranges for 2026, explains what genuinely moves a price, and lists the costs that cheap quotes leave out — which is where most of the unpleasant surprises live.

The honest ranges for 2026

These are market ranges in Pakistan, not just ours. They assume a competent build rather than the cheapest possible one.

Type of siteRealistic range (PKR)What you get
Template site25,000 – 80,000A marketplace theme with your content in it. Fine as a placeholder; not a business asset.
Small business site80,000 – 200,0004–8 custom-designed pages, mobile-first, basic SEO, a working contact form. The sensible floor for a real business.
Commercial / growth site250,000 – 700,000Larger site or store, service and location page architecture, integrations, copywriting, analytics and conversion tracking.
E-commerce store150,000 – 800,000Shopify or WooCommerce, payments including COD, courier integration, product templates, post-purchase automation.
Web app / custom platform700,000 – 5,000,000+Custom software: roles, permissions, dashboards, integrations, reporting. Priced by workflow complexity, not by pages.
Redesign of an existing site60% – 90% of a new buildRarely much cheaper. The structural work is the same, and there is migration and redirect work on top.

Ranges reflect the Pakistani market in 2026. International clients are typically quoted the equivalent scope in GBP, EUR or USD.

If a quote sits well below the relevant band, that is information. It usually means a template, no content work, no testing, and no support after launch — all of which are real costs that have been moved to your side of the ledger.

What actually moves the price

Clients tend to assume page count drives cost. It barely does. Ten pages using one template is cheap. Five screens that each behave differently is not.

1. Unique screens, not pages

A template applied ten times costs roughly what it costs once. A dashboard, a booking flow, a filtered listing and a checkout are four different design and engineering problems.

2. Integrations

Payment gateways, WhatsApp Business API, courier APIs, accounting tools, CRMs. Each is a small project with its own authentication, error handling and edge cases. Three integrations can easily cost more than the rest of the site.

3. Roles and permissions

“Agents see only their own leads, managers see the branch, the owner sees everything” is one sentence and a substantial amount of engineering.

4. Content

If you supply finished copy and photography, the build is cheaper. If we research, write and art-direct, it is a line item — and usually the one with the highest return.

5. Data migration

Moving years of leads, orders or records out of spreadsheets into a clean schema takes longer than anyone expects, because the cleaning is the work.

6. Deadline

A normal timeline costs the normal price. Compressing eight weeks into four means more people working in parallel, which costs more and is riskier.

The question that reveals the real scope

Ask: “how many screens in this project behave differently from each other?” A quote built on page count is a quote from someone who has not thought about the build.

The costs quotes leave out

Four costs are missing from most cheap quotes. They do not disappear; they arrive later.

  • Content. Copy and photography. A site with placeholder text is not finished, and “client to provide content” is where the majority of stalled projects die.
  • Maintenance. Hosting, updates, backups, security. Budget PKR 15,000–35,000 a month for a normal business site. Skipping it is how sites get compromised.
  • Ownership. If the domain and hosting are in the agency's name, leaving costs you either money or the site. This should be non-negotiable from day one.
  • The second version. Every site needs changes within six months, because real traffic tells you things no plan predicted. Assume it rather than being surprised by it.

There is also the cost nobody quotes: a site that does not work. A business site producing no enquiries for a year has cost you a year of enquiries, which is almost always a larger number than the difference between the quotes you were comparing.

How to compare two quotes fairly

Quotes are rarely comparable as written, because each agency has scoped a different project. Normalise them with these questions.

  1. Is it custom or a theme?

Ask directly, and ask which theme. A marketplace theme is not a custom design, however it is described in the proposal.

  2. Who writes the content?

If the answer is “client provides”, add the cost of a copywriter or your own time to that quote before comparing.

  3. What happens after launch?

Is there a fix window? What is the maintenance cost? Is support included, chargeable, or absent entirely?

  4. In whose name are the accounts?

Domain, hosting, analytics, ad accounts. If the answer is not “yours”, treat the quote as carrying a hidden exit cost.

  5. Who does the work?

In-house, or subcontracted? Will you speak to them? An agency that subcontracts and adds margin is charging you for a layer, not a capability.

  6. What is explicitly excluded?

A good proposal lists what is out of scope. A proposal with no exclusions has not been thought through, and the gaps become change requests.

What we charge, and why

For transparency, since this guide asks you to demand it from others.

  • Starter build — PKR 80,000–200,000. Four to eight custom pages, mobile-first, on-page SEO, working forms, 30-day fix window.
  • Growth build — PKR 250,000–700,000. Full site or store, SEO page architecture, integrations, copywriting, analytics, team training.
  • Systems build — PKR 700,000+. Custom CRM, web app or multi-tenant SaaS, with discovery, roles, reporting and documented handover.
  • Retainers — PKR 15,000–200,000 monthly depending on whether it is maintenance, SEO, automation or creative.

Fixed price against a written scope, 40/40/20 payment, and everything registered in your name. The plans page has the detail.

The uncomfortable conclusion

The cheapest quote is usually the most expensive outcome, but the most expensive quote is not automatically the best one either.

What correlates with a good result is not price. It is whether the scope is written down, whether you will speak to the people building it, and whether you own everything at the end. A mid-range quote that satisfies those three is a better bet than a premium quote that does not.

And if your budget genuinely will not stretch to the relevant band, the right answer is a smaller scope built properly — three excellent pages rather than twelve mediocre ones. Scope is the lever. Quality is not.

Questions

FAQs

Can I get a decent website for PKR 30,000?

You can get a template with your content in it, which is genuinely better than nothing while you start out. It will not be a competitive business asset, and you should plan to replace it rather than extend it.

Why is a redesign nearly as expensive as a new site?

Because the expensive parts — structure, content, testing, migration — are the same, and a redesign adds URL mapping and redirect work to protect existing rankings.

Should I pay monthly instead of upfront?

Some agencies offer this. Read what happens if you stop — in many arrangements you lose the site, because you were renting rather than buying. Ownership on day one is worth more than a lower monthly figure.

How much should maintenance cost?

PKR 15,000–35,000 monthly for a standard business site, more for e-commerce. If you are being charged nothing, nobody is maintaining it, and that is a bill deferred rather than avoided.

Do international clients pay more?

The scope is priced the same; the currency differs. UK and European clients are typically invoiced in GBP or EUR at the equivalent value of the work.
